I have a Johnson 40hp (Model# J40ELEOD) (Serial# 03743175) It idles a bit to low, I would like to adjust the idle up just a bit. How do I do that? I appreciate your help, thanks...
Disconnect the throttle cable from the cam lever. Adjust the idle adjustment screw until it idles to your liking. Turn the thumbwheel on the throttle cable until the hole in the end of the cable aligns with the hole in the cam lever, then reconnect the throttle cable.
