Hello

Im from Denmark, and Im trying through this page, to find some one, who can help me, about some problems with my Evinrude 60Hp VRO from 1990.
I did bye this motor (and boat) last year. And my first trip with this motor was very very bad.
After few min. it start to run very rough, like there was choker on, and I could only let it run with 1/3 power. And if I put on idle, the motor just went dead ? I did then sent it to my local marine workshop. And they told me, that there was not 100% signal from the Power Pack (18-5766)to one of the cyl. So they changed the Power Pack and plugs. But it did not help. Then I did find out, by my self, that my gasolin-tank needed air (there was wacoum in the tank). So I did make a new air-hole in the tank.
That did work, and the motor can now run with full power, with out problems, but it will still not idle (maby cab.adjustmen ?) So my question here is, how can I find out, if a power pack is bad ? Is it right, that a power pack can send a weak signal out to only one cyl, and a good signal to the other two cyl. ?
And how can I find out, that my old Power Pack is good or bad ?
Best Regards from
DUKE3
Denmark
