I have an '89 Johnson 25 that was not run for 10 years and I am having trouble getting it to idle.
This is what I have done since I purchased it.

Rebuilt carb
New primer bulb and line
New gas tank
New spark plugs gap .040
checked compression...112 each cylinder

Please help me with what I should do next. Runs great from 1/4 throttle on...just does not want to idle at all. Plugs are wet when removed after idle. Thanks for any help.

Float sits level to carb when carb is upside down. Thanks for the reply.

10 years is a long time to sit. Crank it up on muffs in the dark and see if your plug wires are arcing to ground. They may have become brittle and dried out.
