I've a 1986 5.7L OMC 800 drivetrain. Right now the ignition coil is just sitting there behind the engine. Is that ok or should the ignition coil be attached and grounded to the engine block through the bracket?

Thanks,
Matt

Re: Ignition coil grounding.

ya need to mount it someplace. its not required to be grounded. mount it out of any water dribbles, preferably upright and so it does not get shaken to bad.
