Ignition coil no spark

I have a Johnson 70 Hp spare motor with no serial number. The Upper cylinder ignition coil gives no spark. The power pak part number indicates a 1984 vintage motor. My boat has a 1986 Johnson 70 hp motor and I wonder if the coils may be the same. Does any one have information on what coil would work on my spare motor? Thanks for any advice
