I have a 1996 Bayliner 7.4 Mercruiser, very clean and no mods to it 1100 hours it has run great with regular service. Yesterday started up and ran for 10 minutes and blew the ignition fuse, did it again and again. Let it cool down and tried again and ran for 5 minutes then blew the fuse. The engine compartment is clean and I can see all the wiring and it looks good no burning or fraying, looked at key switch wiring too. After it cooled down and ran again for 5 minutes while running I moved and shake all wiring nothing ran fine for 5 minutes. Is it possible for the coil or something else to blow the fuse like this when it heats up to temp?
