ignition module 5.7GSI ???

Just trying to find out if I have to buy the Volvo Penta ignition module for 180$. Or will the local auto parts store one works. For 60$. Is their any difference. 5.7GSi TBI. Thank you !!

I have seen them on ebay for $40 new- not VP thou.

.I've used ones from auto parts store on my 5.7L Gi-A TBI. Best to get one from a '88 to 95' GM pickup truck...like a 2500 series....they have the closest timing advance curve to the Volvo ones.....
