Newbie here I have a 1990 Sea nymph 15 foot bass boat 25hp johnson outboard I just bought this both the guy had bought it from said the gauges work when they want to After doing some voltage searching in the inspection I found if I pushed the key in the gauges work fine isn't that for the push the choke?? Do I have a bad ignition switch ? I have not had it on the water yet I'm just trying to fix some miscellaneous stuff before I head out
Thanks in advance

Re: Ignition question/problem

Sounds like maybe a ground loop problem. Check all your grounds and clean them. It's possible it's a bad switch that's worn out, but let's start With the cheap stuff first.
