Need some help my ignition switch has no power from under the dash. Also my dash gauges no power as well. So far i confirmed my battery is fully charged reading is 12.6. I ran a hot wire from battery to ignition power and boat alarm and gauges will power up. Tried cranking the first time the motor turned over. Tired again still get the alarm for power but no engine crank. Still haven't figured out where the problem is from my battery wire to ignition switch. Any advice. Check all fuses i think and still stumped. its a 2007 tahoe Q4 FS with a new short block had a cracked block this winter 4.3 v6 190 Mercruser Alpha 1.

You know the first rule.....check your grounds !
Then I would remove your battery cables from the battery and scrape that black carbon deposits off the posts and the inside of the clamps.
Power will not go threw that carbon.
Next I would take a meter or a test light and follow the B+ from the battery all the way back and see where you lose it .

Have you done all these.
