Hi everyone! I have a 1976 ranger bass tracker, I believe it's a 17 footer. Evinrude 85 on the back. Johnson control unit. I had it running, despite bad cables and was ready to head out to the river. As I was double checking everything, I broke the ignition switch in half when I tried starting it again. I wired a new ignition switch in its place with the main difference between the new and original is that the new one has a push to choke feature. I didn't use that part of the set up and instead kept the factory toggle setup for simplicity. I wired up the new switch one wire at a time pulling one from the old and installing it to the correct place on the new. When I attempted to place it back in the control box I noticed I didn't lay the wires flat and in a wrap around style to fit into that snug place. Ad I repositioned the layout I also had to reroute a few wires and now I do believe I have some in the wrong places and no references as to go by. I just need help with what color wire goes to the correct module, example bigger red wire, or you can gauge it for me like 12 or 10 gauge wire, goes to the battery, the purple wires go to the choke... and so on. I'm having trouble following the other wires that go to the ignition, starter and accessories. Can anyone tell me what colors goes to what?
