I figured I would put up this link. CDI has prepared a great trouble shooting guide that has helped me greatly. It covers a wide range of motors and year models. You will need a DVA adapter and a multi meter to preform many of the test. Just google DVA adapter and you should find one for about $35..go ahead and get one they are very handy dandy. And get a spark gap tester also..about $10 from your local auto parts store.
