I have 1990 rinker with 3.0 motor it has a digital distributor less ignition system are these systems any good.or would I be better off with a newer distributor eltrectronic ignition system. Thanks Bob
They are good until they don't work, then many of the parts are either extremely expensive or no longer available.
It's usually easier and a lot cheaper to go to the Delco EST distributor kit when the DDIS system fails.
The EST is what Mercruiser went to and there is lots of information in the OEM manuals on setting it.
