93 40hp TE40ELETB evinrude does not have adjustable timing pointer manual says it should. Can anyone tell me what the deal is?

What Manual are you looking in? Is it a Genuine OMC Manual, or some Fly by Night 3rd Party Book?

Once manual everything I’ve found points to adjustable pointer. Haven’t found anything resembling the photos of my motor.
