Ignition wires...

Well, I wasn't being very attentive when I popped the plugs out of my '61 Johnson 40hp model RDS-23, and now I can't remember which spark plug wire goes to which plug. How do you tell which goes to the upper and to the lower? Can it be figured out by tracing back to either one of the coils? I can't tell by thje paperwork I have. I've read some threads and I noticed that they do need be in proper order, so before I put things back together, I need to know. And I really do need to know, cuz I go crazy when I don't know things, and there is so much I don't know, so you can imagine just how crazy I am.

You have a 50% chance , so ya feelin lucky?
Give it a try, if it runs bad swap em and see if that helps.

On my twin there was a metal tag on one of the wires, but I didn't know what the tag meant so...

Now I know its for the top cyl.
And I transferred the tag to the new wires.
