ignition wiring

ok so i'm on my last steps to gettin my first boat in the water.got the book but it doesn't tell me much.was just wondering if anyone can help me i have the junction box all wired and pluged to the motor and the forward harness up to the dash. i have six wires coming out of my harness which are green,brown,red,white,black,black w white stripe.i have a few pics of the harness and igniton and choke button i'm gonna use as long as they are the right ones. the pics i posted are of my ignition wiring going forward to the dash,ignition switch and push button for my choke.any help would be awesome.btw it's a 59 jonhson 50hp v4 mod #v4sl-11a

Those Fat-Fifties have magneto ignition. The single wire on the distributor that runs to the dash is the ignition kill wire. It needs to be grounded when the keyswitch is off. The dash would also get the choke solenoid wire, ground and +12V. You need a momentary switch for the choke, as you have shown. If the ign key has an accessory pole, that is power to the choke button. The Sol pole is power to the starter solenoid.

I do not remember the colors, however, the generator used to send the charge current from the mechanical voltage regulator thru an ammeter on the dash and back to the battery. if you do not have the Generator or V/R you can skip these. if you do have a charging system, I would route the output of the VR to the battery directly. The value of a Ammeter is small on those low capacity systems.
