Why is it that 80-90% of all Americans can agree on something, but our idiots in Washington can't get it right.

They should be ashamed. :(

Ken

As for combining Canada, U.S. and Mexico, I think that the Canadians will be very much against that especially Quebec Province. The mexicans will only agree if it is called Mazatlan. Most U.S. citizens will be against it too. It may happen, but not in my lifetime.

Re: Illegal immigrants

There are soo many people that have put their life on the line and many others that have lost their life to defend this country. Why does this congress think they have the right to give it away ? There is nothing wrong or immoral in defending the boarders of our country. We are a soverign nation, we have that right....no, that DUTY. The most basic duty (that we pay taxes for) is for protection of our country. Why is our government not doing that one simple job that they were hired to do ?
Next time I'm in a voting booth, any name that has a R or a D after it will not get my vote......I'm done with this game.

Re: Illegal immigrants

Well, we are having a demonstration here tomorrow  ......
Here is my solution .....
Have a large # of INS agents on hand to check ID'S & green cards, & roll 'em up!
They can then be transported down to the pier, at which time they can be put into the proper container to be shipped home!
These special containers will have pontoons, so they can be dropped several miles off the coast of their respective destinations....
They arrive by container, they can go back the same way!
I see no better opportunity than now to act.....
If they are going to queue up in a row, why not take advantage of the situation? ;) :)
Well, what do you think?.....JK

Re: Illegal immigrants

I think its a great idea HM. The problem is that many of the protesters will be legal. I do not wish to violate their rights. A viable solution though is to use your local govt/services. We are not required to enforce federal law. Most local govts choose not to due to the expense burden, the govt won't pay 'em back. You'd be suprised how many will tell ya they are illegal, and then to have to walk away really sucks.
