im having power problem with 1986 25 horse 2 stroke

i have a 1986 mercury 25 horse 2 stroke that boggs down during throttle and after a while itll power up.if it sits idling for awhile itll go back to doing it again.ive changed the gas lines and ball and sprayed carb cleaner in it while running.

Have you tried changing the spark plugs? Had a similar incident and new NGK plugs fixed the issue.

Do a compression and spark test.Ethanol is causing problems with hoses and rubber and some plastics.The fuel pump diaphragm might need replacing.E causes the rubber hoses to melt and delaminate,check all the hoses.Remove the carb and clean it.Jerry

i done spark test and #2 cylinder is not getting spark.after a while it kicked in and it then had fire.could it be the stator or some kind of short
