I am finally replacing my old raw water cooled 5.7 in my 1979 Albemarle.

I recieved a REMAN long block and in the process of building it.

I had them build a engine with older block that accepts the mechanical fuel pump and vortec heads.

My first question is baffeled or un baffeled oil pan? I asked the company that I bought the oil pan from if the pan was baffled and they told me yes. It came un baffled, so is that any big deal?

also if anyone knows a good source of valve covers and I probably need the conversion flywheel for the engine.

Yes it't important, you want the baffle. If you check, the unbaffled may not even fit your engine.
