My Johnson 69 Outboard mod85ESL69 still wont shift into neutral or reverse. I drained the oil out, which was milky in the lower unit. I then replaced it with TCW III. I also checked the wires. Neutral was getting power to the green wire when in neutral. Both wires were getting power in reverse and there was no power to the wires in forward. SWo i know thats right. The neutral wire was lighting the test light but the light was weak compared to the reverse wire. I just cant understand where the problem is!!! help.

Stop!!

This is the third thread you've started with the same problem.

Ask the mods to combine them so everyone can keep up. If this is for real....

TCWIII in the lower unit????? You got to be kidding!

Dhadley..... I counted six threads within the last three pages. Great advice has been given by some of the best in the business, including the necessity of using "Type C" lube, also known as "OMC (Bombardier) Premium Blend". There's nothing more I could or will add in the way of advice as it appears that it is ignored and a general waste of time. However, just in case, I am removing the chain from my belt..... I don't think I need to explain that statement.
