Impeller change question

It seems like it is taking much longer for the water to drain from my motor after changing the impeller. The stream is strong and I ran it at WOT and the the water pressure gauge was pegging out at 30psi. Is this normal? Could I damage anything? I am new to boating and any advice would be appreciated.

What kind of engine are we talking about? Where is the water that you are draining.

1996 115 INTRUDER. The water drains out of the lower unit as always there just seems to be more of it.

Re: Impeller change question

My '98 Johnny V6 has 30+ PSI at high speed. I think that is a good thing....
