I have the exact same motor as you and am trying to get that nut off. I took a screwdriver to get the rest of the rubber of the old impeller off but cannot get the nut off. Can you tell me how you used the small wood chisel to get the nut off. I'm having lots of trouble. I was at it all night last night. Also, is the nut part of the impeller?

The "nut" is the hub of the impeller. If it is stuck to the shaft, a chisel can be used to split it to remove it. You should be able to see where the drive pin side is. Work that side, but be careful not to hit the pin, as you can drive it through the bottom of the pump housing, ruining that in the process.

Yes, but now the posts have no context! When threads are broken apart like this, it would be useful to have the first line read something like:

"This thread is a continuation of an older thread, which can be found here" and add a hyperlink to the "here".
