Does it matter which way the flanges on the impeller lay when you slide it into the housing?
I have a Mariner 28 (664S06979) that have been running great until the impeller shredded. I got replacement at a local marine shop but I don't think it is the correct one. Water pumps fine until I get about 1/2 throttle+...then it stops pumping until I cut back on the throttle back to idle. The impeller I got was 47-85089 10 - according to this site I need 47-84797M(?).
Any suggestions on where I can get the water in take screens for this motor too?
