I finally got my old impeller off, last night, but it seems I may have lost my impeller key. Im wondering whether anyone can tell me what too look for as I scour the shop floor.<br /><br />The shaft has a notch cut out of it, about 1/2 in lon and maybe 1/8" deep, like a half moon. The impeller has a half-round notch cut into it, running parallel to the shaft. <br /><br />I found a pin taht fits into the channel in the impeller but i cannot find any half-moon shaped piece. <br /><br />My manual, I believe, refers to an "impeller pin" and makes no mention of an "impeller key". If I put the pin in place, it holds the impeller in place, but the impeller has play, back and forth.<br /><br />Should there be another piece to hold the impeller in place, or is the pin all that this impeller is supposed to have?
