HI there!
First, I hope I'm posting in the proper forum.... I'm pretty new to this.
I need to replace the impeller in the water pump on my '86 Mariner 35hp. I saw some discussion on one of the retailer sites while I was browsing around for prices regarding different materials used for impellers. Some neoprene, some rubber? Is one better than the other, or is that even correct information. When I bought the boat, the mechanic put a new impeller in for me and he used what looked to be a rubber one. I have a manual and feel confident I can make the repair. I just want to use the most reliable parts when I make repairs. I would like to purchase the impeller from iboats if they carry it, but I'm not finding part numbers anywhere in my Seloc, or on this site.
Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places?
Any help greatly appreciated. I just got back to getting this boat ready before the season is over due to illness. Feeling lots better and WANT TO BOAT!
thanx
