Impeller

Have a question I have a 3.0 Mercury alpha motor I changed the water pump on impeller now the boat starts up and propeller spins while I’m in the neutral position what do I need to do to fix that.

Split the cases again and line up the lower shift shaft with the intermediate shaft in forward gear. Sounds like you did not do that.

I would read the manual before starting work,, but per Rick split the cases and do it correctly
