Hi all
I have a Australian Whittley 2350 with a OMC 5.8l Petrol motor with a OMC cobra leg
the guy who sold it to me modified the water intake from the impellor feed with a T hose
attachment that could simply feed water into it and bypass the impeller feed
( ie to flush with fresh water while still moored at the jetty)
sounds great but i have just cooked an impellor doing so , could this be because there is no cool water running pas the impeller
PS engine water temp was fine while motor was running but impeller is now a molten mess
