Importance of torque specs and impeller

Wonder how important/critical the torque specs are for the nuts and bolts that hold the impeller and housing in the lower unit. Can I tighten by hand enough to squeeze gasket or do I need to try and get a hold of a wrench that displays torque? Are torque specs extremely important outside of the head gasket?

It's More Important that they're Even,+ Not Over Tight..........<br />You don't want to torque the housing out of Shape.......
