Re: Important stuff

I also use glasses I get from work, ANSI and OSHA approved. My preference is the Crews Frostbite, 99.9% UV protection, only negative is no polarized lens. But for the price I can't complain to much.

Re: Important stuff

this thread is just begging to bring up an old archive from the man, JB....

sorry, i'm too sleepy to do the search. i use cheapo's, but there is a great oldie on this topic. i think it can be found with maybe "mother in law" "optometrist" "uvA" "uvB" by user# 1031... ;)

g'nite all

Link – they look like good glasses. Weird thing in California (as if there was only one weird thing here) state law prohibits the use of any eyeglasses with temples wider than 1/4-inch (or was it 1/2-inch?) while driving. Never heard of anyone being cited for it, tho.

Polaroids, I wear glasses anyway so my daughter (who makes all my glasses) made me a special set of clip-ons. They're great. They let me see the fish in the shallow especially when I'm fly fishing for mullet, and yet protect me from the ravenges of the sun.
I've had the same sets for a few years now and they go straight into a case when not in use.
Ross

Follow up:

I got the Revo's. Everyone here or wherever I am, are free to take any food, beverage without permission, vehicles with permission, but if anyone takes these glasses:

I WILL KILL THEM.
<
<
<
<
<
<
<
<
<
<
<
<
<
AND THEN KILL MYSELF FOR BEING STUPID TWICE. :p

Re: Important stuff

I KNOW they're not going back! :) Yeah…after you had them for awhile you will find yourself wearing them while watching TV, in the theater, just being cool while talking to the dog… :D Might as well just go and glue to your head. :D DON’T LET YOUR WIFE/GIRLFRIEND WEAR THEM!!! You’ll never get them back and you know there is nothing will be able to do about it. :)

Which ones did you get? My current pair has the #63 (stealth polarized) lens. The frame #2011 (Mariner?) is discontinued, made for boating…similar to #2013 (Falco) but with a different lens.

People that have never tried them don’t realize there is such a difference in vision quality between sunglasses. The Revo’s correct/align different parts of the visible spectrum so what you see thru the lens are what you would see if the lighting were corrected without any lens. That’s why everything appears sharper, it is focused…not so with tinted sunglasses.

Depending on the lens, there is between 8 and 15 different coatings. The whole process is patented and the patents have not expired. For the time being, Revo can charge as much as they do. You did get them online, right?
