So if Im reading some of the posts correctly, I do not need an inline fuel filter? I couldnt even find one in the engine bay so I dont even know if I have one. I am about to change the water seperator fuel filter, is that the only one I really need? Thanks

That is correct. Your water separator is a filter as well. In line filters are not allowed by the Coast Guard regs.

There should be a filter on the carb inlet fitting built into the carb. It should be checked and cleaned/replaced because it does catch sediment and will cause issuses if left undone.

As a side note, my MPI manual says specifically NOT to add additional filters as the system was designed to operate with the vacuum/pressure of one filter/seperator only. Additional filters would get the pressures a little 'hinkey'.
