Two days ago they said it was going to rain or snow. Yesteday they said 1 inch in the evening and 1 to 3 the next day. By evening they changed tomorrow to 2 to 4. Didn't get the 1 inch in the evening, but awoke to 1 inch on the ground. Turned the TV on and now it has jumped from 3 to 9 inches. :(

It is some pretty stuff, nice big quarter sized flakes. Just hope we don't get the 9" that they are talking about.

Looks like 4x4 day. Wish I had one. :D

Have a great day... :D SS

Yeah,

We got them goofy weather forecasters here in NY too.

As of 8AM, they are forcasting anywhere from an all rain event to up to 12" of snow!

At least they covered everything.

Go figure!

Wellllllll....lets see......

3 to 6inches predicted for the banks of the Mighty Ohio.....that equates to....lets see...
take the square of last years total divided by the log root of rain fall ....E=MC2/e=IR-.314+%>of longnecks left in frig {milage to store for more longnecks}/longnecks per hour..........GOT IT! 0 to 10ft. of snow fall or 0 to 100% chance of precipitation.

It's easy to figure. Just gotta know the formula.

:D :D :D

It wasn't half bad a couple months ago, the weather person was a hot little blonde-really pleasing to look at, I couldn't care less if she got the weather right or not. Now we got a new weatherman, he's horrible. I miss Julie, I think she moved to florida to be closer to family and where the weather is a little easier to predict.

Me and mine figured that they would be better off saying, " We have no idea what the h3ll its going to do. so just stick your head out side and see if its cold or not" :)

It's supposed to rain all day today and be cloudy and cold tomorrow with a high of 46. Sunshine Sunday with a high near 50. No snow here yet, usually get ours in Jan/Feb.

Re: Inaccurate weather guessing

Many years ago I quit watching main stream news or reading local news papers.. but I would always turn up the audio on the TV for the weather at 20 minutes past the hour. It was always a 50-50 crap shoot as to what the weather was going to be at best.
About 6 years I started getting the weather via local zip code on my computer.. it's about 90%
correct!
Side Note: Does anyone else here feed squirrels?
Little Bit (we named her that because she is just a Little Bit smaller than the rest of the squirrels in the back yard) has jumped up in my lap 6 times while typing this short note! Thats 12 peanuts in 5 minutes! Make that 16 in 7 minutes now

I thought about feeding them. They got pretty wise and don't come around too much anymore. Those pellets must hurt! :D

Re: Inaccurate weather guessing

Just got off work. Drove in this crap all day. People just don't drive for the conditions. Took my wife to work since she doesn't like driving in it. About 4 inches on the ground now.

I feel bad about those in New York, up to 16" I heard.

A school bus clipped off a pole right before his first pick up. He was mad because he got a ticket because of slick conditions. Patrolman told him that nobody else has hit that pole before, even in worse conditions. You just gotta sloooowwwww dowwwwnnnnn. :D ....SS

I have survived the 3rd BLIZZARD of 2003.

(We had 2 blizzards earlier, in Jan. and Feb.)

The original forecast called for rain or snow, up to 12".

Well we got snow alright, 20" of that heavy stuff!

The worst part was the wind though, gusts up to 50 MPH, and snow drifts, up to 7 ft. high.
