i have straight pipes with super traps. i'm re-doing the deck. i took my trailer down to the ramp once i had all of the foam out to dunk the hull. i know there were leaks and wanted to make sure i found em all. both pipes leak like shower heads with the foam out. one pitot hose was also leaking. i'm getting rid of those and going with a paddle-wheel next time.
on to my questions...what's a good sealant for the exhaust pipes?
also, the pipes were originally surrounded by foam, right on the pipes. the foam was burnt and carboned wherever there was contact. it seems like there would be a better way. pic:
last question ...anyone familiar with these mufflers...Ultra Marine Exhaust? any input would be great. there's a 454 on the other end of the pipes, wouldn't mind a quieter ride.
Ultra Marine Exhaust Mufflers are lightweight with a unique Triple Baffle Chamber that prevents loss of performance. Great for tight instalations, 100% fiberglass.
thanks
