I know this is a reach but...anyone know anything???

Blue Marsh Lake in Berks County PA. Yesterday as we were leaving the ramp, cops, ambulances, park rangers, etc. came screaming in with lights and sirens going. I know for sure that a fisherman was "knocked into the water by another boat but there was no collision". I didn't hear any crash. Rumor is the guys boat went in-between the other boat and the tube and he got caught by the rope.

I was a wild day on that lake for sure.

as of yet, no info on the man's idenity, or extent of injury. From the rather brief news article, he may have very well fallen out of the sky and landed on the other boat. Sounds in the article like he fell overboard.

oh wow. that's awful. i could see the group of boats where it happened from the parking lot - about 150 yds from the ramp. had to have happened just as we were finishing wiping down and leaving.

as i said, it was a wild day.

An update if anyone cares; 61 year old boater died of heart attack after being thrown overboard. He was driving his boat at a high rate of speed when it crossed the wake of another boat pulling a skier, in-between the boat and the skier. He was thrown overboard by the combination of hitting the wake and catching the ski tow line on the bow of his boat. It is unclear how/if the rope contributed or if the rope actually hit the guy. Skier had the wherewithal to let go of the line or you can image the outcome.

Wow. Thanks for the update. Just another reminder to be safe as we head out this holiday weekend.
