inflatable with coat of epoxy paint on the bottom ?

I am looking at a inflatable apex boat that has a layer of epoxy on the bottom the guy said was to make it stronger on rocks.. but is that bad for the fabric ?

Is that a rib or sib inflatable. If it's just a epoxy coat can't see how it could protect inflatable underneath, it's just a thin coat. There are special products for painting inflatables, which should be flexibe as not to be peeled off. Probably had to much scratched bottom, painted it to sell it in much better looking condition, as everything comes through the eyes..
