If you change the definition of inflation to whatever you want it to be, you can put us into an inflationary economy or take us out of one. Either it is or it isn't. Nobody's misleading anybody, the definition of inflation hasn't changed, that's how you know what BLS means when it publishes its stats. Some people don't know what it means, but they could if it was important to 'em.<br /><br />Question for txswinner:<br />"High Import taxes 50% on foreign cars,"<br /><br />How do you determine what's a foreign car? Where are Toyota's made nowadays, anyway? And is a Jaguar a foreign car or a Ford? What about a Chrysler, is it German or American?<br /><br />Sounds like a smart-*** comment, but in fact it's a serious question.
