They were quite popular then and a very well built boat if I recall. They had a hull design called an airslot. Don't kow if the company is still in business.

Our family boat when I was younger (1966-1967)was a Thunderbird tri-hull with a 60 horse Johnson outboard. IT was probably a 15 or 16 footer. Tan colored.

I remember it being a smaller version of the boat that the ranger (Flipper's Human Friends) had on the TV show Flipper. I believe this one was a cuddy with dual IOs made by Thunderbird.

I don't know if this will help but my Wellcraft is called a 165 airslot. Apparently, about 1/2 to 2/3 from the bow there is a notch in the hull. From the reading I have done this was supposed to improve performance and get the boat on plane faster.
