information old engine

I picked up an older boat at an auction and need information about the engine/outdrive.<br /><br />All I know about it is it is in a WINNER Family Express. 5.7L model:MCM 250 S/N 476918<br /><br />I need to know the year and what type (Alfa, Bravo,?)<br /><br />can anyone help

Lucky, Look on the transom of the boat on the port side just below the rub rail you should find the Hull Serial #. The 5.7L is a 350cid Look here to ID the drive:<br /> http://www.mercstuff.com/howdoi.htm
