Can anyone give information on a Johnson Seahorse 6 HP; Model number 6BA76A; Serial number B17645.

Specially about the distance the spark plugs should be gapped, and which distance I should set the ignition points

Thanks for your reaction

Hello, R-Dennis.

Welcome to the international iboats board.

Your engine is a 1976.

Points should be gapped at .020" and plugs at .030" or .040". (Both gaps appear in the literature.)

Correct fuel mix is 50:1, regular unleaded gas to TCW-3 rated outboard oil.

Good luck. :)

Works just good. Gapped plugs and points as said and.... the johnny runs.

Now it runs, I think there's a problem with the carb. (it wont't idle) Is it difficult to clean the carbs and how far must the rich/lean knob been turned into the carb.

Thx Dennis
