Inline 6 crankshaft oil seals, holes or not?

I'm changing the top and bottom oil seals on my 1970 Mercury 1150 here. Top one is done. But when I come to the bottom ones, I read this in the manual. (see picture) The new oil seals that I have bought have no holes in them. And the old ones that I'm replacing have no holes. So what to do? Mount new ones without holes, or drill two small holes in the bottom one? I find this confusing.

As a non expert, I do see the word "IF", stating if one has holes use it on the bottom, if neither have holes it doesn't matter

Just install as is, and pack the cavity between them with a good grease.

Thank's guys, I'II skip the holes. Not much of a seal, if there are holes in it...
