90' 120 hp force l-drive does not have any other filter than a screen on the fuel pump. I thought I'd place an inline filter in there. Is there a certain type I should use? Should it go between fuel tank and pump, or pump and carbs?

thanks for your reply

Not sure as to specific type (other than it would be best to have a see through plastic filter)

On my Evinrude the filter is between the tank and the pump.

Good luck.

I have water separator between tank and primer bulb, then inline filter (see through) between fuel pump and carb (I think).

Get the biggest inline filter you can fit on it. I clear plastic one it definitly a plus too.

I strongly suggest putting the filter between the fuel pump and the carb, for the simple reason that a fuel pump pushes fuel alot easier than it pulls it. Besides that there is a screen in the fuel pump already.
