Input on 2001 Mercury 150 XL?

I am about to buy a new 2001 Merc 150 carb saltwater series. Does anyone have any input on quirks, problems, things i should look out for before I buy? Thanks!

Make sure it is painted black, Pat. The pink ones were junk.

Thanks JB. Yeah, I know. But I am replacing my 98 Ficht and Im a little gun shy now. Figured the old school at a great price was a good way to go.

If the engine is still in the crate make sure they check the fuel system for varnish and have them change the impeller! Otherwise that was a good engine.
