Insect Free-Exterior Lighting

I heard, on a home improvement show, that insects cannot see LED lighting.

Does anyone have any actual experience with lighting that does not attract insects?

Is there any other type of lighting that does not attract insects? Such as: Halogen, CFL, etc.

Can't speak to LEDs, but we added some 120 volt rope lighting along the bottom of our upper deck. It gave the patio a softer lighting and seemingly attracts no skeeters or gnats.

The color yellow. There are standard bug lights at most stores.

That I knew, they are SEMI insect free.
