I have a 1988 Bayliner Capri with a Force Outboard Engine 85hp
I'm installing a temp Gauge. I have the Sender and connecting to the Water Jacket.
I know where the Ground goes.
I know where the "S" goes. (To the Sender)
I'm not sure where to connect the "I" 12 Volts.
I'm not sure where to connect the "L" light.

Do i just splice them into other Gauge wires?

"I" goes to the ignition switch "I" terminal, usually a purple wire.
"L" is for the internal light's positive. This can also go to the "I" terminal on the ignition switch (it will be on whenever the ignition is on; this is how Bayliner wired the gauges) or to the bow navigation light positive feed, your choice. The lighting circuit for the gauges is usually a blue wire.

You usually just daisy chain off the corresponding terminal on the closest gauge. They will all have the same two terminals.

No splices. You use ring terminals on the wires and attach them to the applicable terminals on any other gauge.
