Just got my new Boyesen Reeds in the mail yesterday along with the gasket for the carbs. Any tips or tricks on how to install?

Also, the instructions speak of re-jetting the low speed jet two sizes higher. Can someone tell me where to get the proper jets for my carbs (preferrably internet order the marinas around here are TERRIBLE)

My motor is a 1983 Evinrude 75 HP. Model #E75TRLCTE.

If I am not mistaken, the reed valves are located inside the crankcase. You might like to look in a manual (Sounds like you should have one) to find the correct procedure to install the reeds. A lot of engines call for lock tite on the screws that hold 'em.

I'm no expert but I think you will find them behind the behind the carburetor mounted inside the manifold the carb bolts to. You will probably have to remove that manifold so you can access the reeds attached to the back side of it.

Hope that helps.

Can anyone point out the jets that need to be changed and a part # or supplier for the new jets?
