Installing a '06 250hp Evinrude

Hi Guys,

I just bought an '06 250 hp E-Tech Evinrude. It's on a 22' Continental open fisherman. I mounted the motor and then pulled all new wiring. My question is whether I need to connnect the old fuel pump or is this fuel injected that doesn't require a fuel pump?

What old fuel pump??? My 175's don't have any external pump, so I can't imagine what you're talking about here.

The boat had a '85 235hp when I bought it. There is an external pump after the fuel filter then an inline filter and into the engine.

You need to get the complete installation document set for your motor from BRP. I had the dealer give me that stuff (which they usually pitch) after the install. There's lot's of detail that's not intuitively obvious.
