HAS ANYONE EVER INSTALLED A NEW THROTTLE CONTROL? IS IT A JOB THAT CAN BE DONE AT HOME? WHERE TO START?

yes, yes, identify the make, model, and year of your motor. <br />Aquire new controls to match the motor.<br />Unbolt old, install new.

ok yea i got all that and hopin this control on my buddies boat, that has the same brand motor and around the same year, works<br /><br />is the hooking up of the actual cables an easy job and also, mine broke while in gear should i get it back to nuetral before installing the new control?
