Installing a pee hole

I have a 1996 mercury force 40hp it has a sputter type water release system is it possible to install pee hole water release system.

I don't know about the 96, but my 86 Force had a small plug at the top of the t-stat that I removed and put a small tube in. It worked great. It used the same tubing and coupler as my ice maker.

Yes you have the pipe plug on your motor.<br />It is approx 2" in front of the thermostat housing, on the top of the cylinder head. Remove it and install a small brass hose barb, attach hose. Drill hole in lower cowl and insert a small rubber grommet, put hose thru grommet. Done. $5.<br /><br />Or you can buy a water pressure gauge kit. All parts should be in the kit. Install the gauge and attach the tube to the head. $60.
