Installing a windshield

I have a 1991 Prowler Bass Boat, 16'8" long, made by Sunbird for 3 or 4 years and I can't find anything anywhere on the internet. It is a sharp looking boat, and I would like to add a windshield to the driver's cockpit. How do I measure for the correct shield? I've seen several windshields advertised on ebay, but many have different width dimensions and I want to make sure I get the right one the first time. Thanks,<br />blt

Re: Installing a windshield

You could design one for yourself and have a plastics fabricating shop make one. That way you get what you want and are sure of a good fit. On the design I would use an ordinary carpenters tape and draw it out on 1/4" graph paper. When you think you have what you want make a model out of cardboard or other material.

Re: Installing a windshield

Thanks. I do have a moulded dash. It's a strange shape as it is rounded, but with corners rather than a plain arch. It comes straight up about 4", then angles upward about another 5 or 6", then straight across the top and back down. These aren't mitered corners, but rounded. It's hard to describe. Thanks...I'll check them out.

Probably have to have one custom made.
