installing boat seat on jon boat

can anyone give me ideas how to go about installing swivel boat seats on the bench style seats on my jon boat? thanks Knob

knobby, they make a clamp like devise that your seats bolt to and then it uses two long bolts underneath to clamp it to the bench seats on the jon boat.<br /><br />I have a 14' and I have them on mine.<br /><br />The clamp part is encased in rubber so it won't slip.<br /><br />It has the pedestal that your seat mounts to just like any other.<br /><br />If I am not mistaken, I got mine at wal-mart.

I picked up some spring loaded mounts that clamp on w/o extra hardware a few years ago at Gander Mountain that work great on the duck boat. Aluminum carriage with heavy springs and like SBN's are rubber/vinyl coated on the contact surfaces to prevent slippage. Easy on - easy off for storage or docking for the night. My brother and I installed them in the parking lot in about 15 min. - bolt the seats to them and clamp them on. One of the best impulse buys of my life.

Thanks guys, I went the Wal-Mart route with the clamps. Tried it out today and no slip. THanks for the advise...<br />KNOB
