I have a 2003 Chaparral Signature 240. I'm unsure about where to position the transducers (sounder and speed wheel) on the transom, considering this boat is dry moored. I need to protect them from forklift arms, and also the cradle rack.

Does anyone here happen to have a similar situation, and how did you solve these installation details? I would sure appreciate any pictures you might have, as well. I am thinking of mounting the display head on the right most side of the helm console, where the top of the display just lines up with the bottom of the depth finder gauge on the instrument panel. In this position, there is clearance for both steering wheel operation, and throttle remote control lever travel. Otherwise, there aren't many other decent choices ... space is kinda sparce on this vessel!

Also, how did you route the cable wiring?

Thanks,
