im going to be installing my 81 merc 50hp, i would like to fit guages, i want a tacho, a pressure and a temp guage, what range would i need for the tach, the pressure and the temp guages, and what should typical redings be. also where would i instal the senders for these guages <br />cheers barry

Most tachs have multiple setting on the rear of them.As for wiring you will need a diagram because most tachs are wired to ignition wires and I hate to tell ya wrong. The guys on here are usally good at that stuff. Your closes service should tell you which setting it goes on. The temp gauge should come with a sending unit that will go in to the stock temp sender hole. usally on the head. My new one had directions. As for the preasure gauge they come with directions. Usually the sender goes into the inlet line leading into your block I believe. At least the is where mine is at.
